On November 21st, Lotus held its annual community Thanksgiving dinner. This event has become an important tradition at our school. This year was the 7th year that Mrs. Chol and the National Honors Society have hosted the dinner. The event is the time many people come together and enjoy food and give thanks.

This event is one of Ms.Chol’s favorite Lotus events because it brings all the families, staff, and students together. Although it’s a lot of work, it’s worth it.

The gym looked festive and full of people mingling and milling about. The delicious smell of turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing, and other thanksgiving foods filled the air.

Students from the elementary school performed festive songs, with parents proudly taking photos and videos for memories.

Families and friends sat together and laughed and talked while enjoying the cozy atmosphere and warm food.

Outside, snow poured down, creating a beautiful juxtaposition. The feeling of community and togetherness permeated the air.

We really do hope this tradition keeps going for many years to come.
